When not playing baseball, Charles enjoys X-Box games, sleeping and hitting. His favorite music is Seether and his favorite TV shows are “Family Guy” and ESPN’s “Baseball Tonight.” Charles is from Dallas and graduated from Lancaster High School. He is married to Danielle, also a LeTourneau student majoring in digital writing. They have a son, Cai Daniel Johnson who turns 1 on Oct. 18. Charles’ parents are Charles and Cynthia. Charles plays baseball because “baseball is a way of life.” His goal for the season is to break and set records.
His favorite baseball memory is “hitting two bombs in one game at UT Dallas and making a big dent in their right-center wall.” The best baseball advice he’s been given is “You’re better than that.” His hero is Mets outfielder Carlos Beltran.
