David plays baseball because “It is a difficult sport, I have never taken the easy road, and I really enjoy playing.” His goal for the season is to improve over last year, “which was my best season at LeTourneau so far.”
His favorite memory was “All of last year. I had a great summer season playing in Dallas. It carried on to my fall season at LeTourneau, which helped me to have the best spring season at LeTourneau that I have had in the past three seasons of spring baseball.”
The best baseball advice he’s ever been given is: “Work hard! Baseball is a tough sport. Players with talent and no hard work wash out, but players with a little talent and hard work can make it a long way in baseball.” His hero is former pitcher Greg Maddux and his favorite team is the Texas Rangers.
When not playing baseball, he enjoys shooting, fishing, camping, hiking, riding horses, water sports and almost anything outdoors. His favorite music is classic rock and he favorite TV show is “Friends.” His favorite movie is “Man from Snowy River.”
David is from Bowie, Texas, and graduated from Bowie High School. His parents are Dave and Nancy. He has two sisters, Maranda, 26, and Brittani, 23.
