Mark your calendars!
Attention parents, grandparents, siblings and other Jackets Baseball fans: We will get to see our sons in action this fall with a small sample of Jackets baseball to tide us over until the season kicks off in February. Make a note of these dates and times for your calendars.
The Jackets will scrimmage at home against Brookhaven Community College.
The team will play its traditional intra-squad "Fall World Series." Friday game time will be firmed up, but expect it to start at 2 or 3 p.m. Saturday features a double-header with games expected to start at noon. These games are always a lot of fun as the squad splits into two player-coached teams and play a best-of-three series. Losers do the cooking for the post-game cookout, see below.
LeTourneau Jackets players and coaches will hold their traditional "welcome cookout" at the end of the Saturday doubleheader. All parents, grandparents, siblings and other Jackets Baseball fans are welcome to join the team on the field for a great meal and even greater camaraderie! It's a great way to get to know our new players, get reacquainted with our returning players and meet the coaching staff and fellow baseball parents and families. Please plan to attend.
