Philip plays baseball because “ I just love playing the game and the competitiveness that comes along with playing baseball.” His goal is to play as much as he can so he can get experience at the college level.
Philip’s favorite baseball memory is of making it to the home-schooled world series in Pensacola, Florida, two consecutive years, placing second and eighth. The best baseball advice he has ever been given is to “hustle out every play because you never know who is watching.” His baseball hero is former pitcher Nolan Ryan. His favorite team is the Houston Astros.
When not on the baseball field, he enjoys rock music and the TV show “The Office.” His favorite movie is “Finding Nemo.”
Philip is from Houston and he was home schooled. His parents are Valdis and Julie. He has four siblings: Christina, 23, William, 21, Charles, 15, and David, 12.
