The Jackets Baseball Parent Support organization hasn't been around too long. We were founded in the fall of 2008 with Gary Brown as our driving force. Gary's son was a Jackets Baseball player and Gary was our first PSO coordinator. The PSO wouldn't exist if it weren't for Gary and his energetic founding board of directors: Steve Burke, Charles Johnson, Michelle Norris, Mario Ramos, Mark Self and Mark Tomaszewski. Thanks to all our members for getting this organization off the ground. Our accomplishments include:
The first PSO project was the creation and distribution of a recruiting DVD, which has been a great supplement to help our coaches as they recruit new players each summer. The DVD was completed for the 2009 recruiting season. In case you haven't seen it, we are posting it here.

Nets Are Up! Turf Is Down! Batting Cages Open!
By far the biggest PSO project was completion of the Jackets Baseball batting cages, which opened for business during the 2010 season.
In the fall of 2009, those attending the season's first PSO Advisory Board meeting were dreaming BIG! Our hope was to convince LeToureau University to build a batting cage complex at Conrad-Vernon Field for the Baseball program.
At the time, the PSO had no money and no support for such a project. But PSO members, coaches and the University worked to make the dream come true.
The PSO thanks everyone who made this this dream a reality for our Jackets Baseball program. Whether you poured time, money or physical labor into the project, it wouldn't have happened without everyone's involvement. It was hard work, but we did it!
Our hope is to follow the achievement of our Batting Cages with a berth in the Playoffs in the American Southwest Conference!
Dugout fencing is in place thanks to a generous donation from one of our PSO parents. The project to help protect players was a quick, fairly inexpensive way to show progress for the program. Dugout fencing was installed over the summer of 2009 and will enhance the safety of LETU players, opposing players and coaches while in the dugout.
Webmaster Sandi Draper (aka Nate Tomaszewski's mom) will be compiling PSO biography pages for each player. Players/Parents: If you have photos of yourself/your son in action on the baseball field, please email them to Sandi Draper. The University has linked to our website from the LeTourneau Athletic Baseball page on the LeTu site. Our goal for this website is to help in recruiting and facilitate PSO information sharing and program support. And, of course, to build fan support for Jackets Baseball.
